There is an old old firetruck for sale on Van Dyke, and Aydan is convinced that it will one day be his. He is saving his money (everytime we see my dad he asks him for money, and when he puts it in his piggy bank, he says "I'm getting closer to be able to get my fire engine!"). He says that he is going to vroom passed his preschool and skip class and that Aunt Steph is going to spray the hose while he is driving. He has given us all jobs. We stopped last night on the way home and let him stand on it. He was so happy!

Aydan and Esme LOVE playing outside this summer. They drive their cars and play sand. They especially love to play with their cousin Amelia. They are all at such great ages right now. Aydan is almost 3 1/2, Amelia is 2 years old and Esme is 16 months. Time flies! I could watch the kids interact all day. Jason is training for a half marathon right now. He will be running from Detroit, over the bridge into Canada and then back to Detroit through the Tunnel! Arbonne is going great for me! I love being a part of the team that I am! I feel so blessed! That about it for now! =)

Our new house!

We are so blessed to be in our new house. I am excited for all of the unpacking to be done and have all of the boxes in the garbage! Thank you so much for everyone who helped us move and get settled in. We have a such great families.

I cannot wait to move! Jason and I have almost the whole house packed. It looks so different. Aydan says that he is not moving, he is staying here to play with Geo (the little neighbor boy). Hopefully we can find some new little friends at the new house! I will post pictures as soon as the house looks presentable. For now, I will post more pictures of the kids...crazy huh!

It has been a LONG time since I have updated. Lets see...Aydan is now 3 years old and Esme is a Year. They both had great birthdays and were blessed beyond belief by our families. We had a great Easter and mother's day, and are excited for memorial day weekend. We are moving next Friday to Downtown Utica. I am ready!!! Our house is in Boxes. Esme is doing great with her sign language and can pretty much communicate anything she needs/wants with her hands! Aydan is so great with Esme. They are truly friends now...Unless he is in a wrestling mood! =) She occasionally gets "clotheslined". I think that is it for now....here are some pictures to bring this blog up to speed!

Aydan's surgery...

Aydan is going into the hospital on Wed. December 17th. I am still waiting on a time, but wont find out until Tuesday the 16th. This is a little to close to Christmas for me, but I know we don't really get to pick our date. What a bummer. Hopefully he will be backed to his normal self in time for Christmas! =)

Where does the time go? Esme is 7 months old. She is so amazing. It is such a blessing to be able to stay home with my kids and watch them grow up. I love being an active part of their lives. I praise God for that opportunity. Esme is doing so well. She is a very brave little girl. She crawl so fast, and all over the house. She really likes to take toys away from Aydan and she prefers playing with "boy" toys more than her baby toys. Esme pulls herself up on the furniture, or whatever is around her. She will take a couple of sideways steps while holding on, but her feet don't hold her up for to long. Esme has a little case of hip displacia (I don't know if I spelled that right). Her right leg is turned in the socket, causing her to stand on the side/front of her feet. Her doctor thinks it will correct itself because of the crawling. I pray that it does, or else she has to wear orthodics....all the way up to her hips. But if that is the worst thing, than fine by me! Esme is learning how to sleep right now...She really likes to sleep in my arms or on my chest. I am doing cry it out, and she goes to sleep very well, but she wakes up just a couple of hours after she falls alseep and wants me to hold her. She is a GREAT eater! I am making all of her babyfood, and I can already see a huge difference in her and Aydan's eating habits. She eats things like beets, pumpkin, parsnips, turnips, cranberries...A ton of very new tastes, and she loves it! Esme is such a blessing in our lives!!! We love her so much!

Aydan James update...

Aydan was born with a collapsable windpipe. When he was a baby we had to lay him down on his side instead of his back to keep him breathing safetly. Our ped. was hopeful that he would grow out of it by a year, but that still has not happened. Aydan also snores soooo loud, and it keeps him awake during the night. We were referred to an ENT specialist through the Children's hospital and our appointment was on this past Tuesday. He said that Aydan's Adnoids were very enlarged. Thankfully his tonsils looked good though. Aydan will be having surgery to remove his adnoids, and when they are in there, they are going to scope his windpipe and his voicebox....If any repairs need to be made, they will have to wait until after his third birthday. He has a great doctor and I am excited to see the change in Aydan after he can breath better! Dr. Belenky said this will change his behavior during the day, his ability to concentrate and obviously decrease the snoring! I am nervous for him to be put under, but thankfully by BEST FRIEND will be right there with me. She is a child life specialist at Detroit children's hospital. Tiffany is the perfect fit for that kind of job! Keep Aydan in your prayers...=)

I love this November weather! We have another November day in the high 60's! Esme is almost 7 months old and Aydan is just over 2 and a half. Time flies. Esme is crawling and is doing a little bit of sign language. She eats very well. I have been making all of her food, so she is able to try a lot of new foods. She loves figs, beets and most of all pumpkin! Next month she will start eating Rice and beans and some more interesting food. Aydan is still a very picker eater, but has gained some weight. We had a very fun halloween. Aydan was the cutest little pirate, and Esme was a flower. We took Aydan out trick-or-treating at my parents house with Amelia, the little duck! We had alot of fun. Of course Aydan was to shy to ever say Trick or Treat, but I got to say it alot! He has been so good at sharing his candy.

My computer isn't working right, so I can't upload any pictures. BUT...just a little update. Esme is now Five and a half months old. She can sit up all by herself, she scoots ALL OVER the floor and has crawled twice. It won't be long until she is chasing around Aydan, which right now, is her only goal! She love him so much and watches his every move. Esme has also started tapping toys together when I say "Tap, tap tap". She eats all of her fruits and veggies and loves to drink water from her cup. Esme is no longer on her apnea monitor!!!! Praise God. She is the happiest baby in the world! Aydan is two and a half and talks like he is five. I don't know where he comes up with the things that he says. He has mastered the rock climbing wall at the park, and loves going the slides. He is becoming a very brave and independent little boy! Aydan is taking swim lessons every saturday at Ike highschool and he loves it. He is a little hesitant to put his face in the water, but he loves swimming and the fact that he has a "teacher". Aydan cannot wait until he is three years old so that he can go to a big boy school! Jason and I are so blessed to have such wonderful kids. Jason and I celebrated our two year wedding anniversary on September 16th. We have had a lot of fun the past 2 years, and are very blessed to have each other! Jason is a great husband, and an even better dad! Hopefully I can get some pictures up soon....we had a great summer and are having a very fun fall......

Esme is now 3 months old. She is such a happy smiley baby. Esme can roll over from front to back, and back to front. She loves laying on her little baby gym and reaches for her hanging toys. Aydan is her favorite person to watch, and she thinks that he is so funny. Esme's apnea monitor has not gone off in 4 weeks as of today. We feel so blessed that she is making such great progress! God is good!!

Aydan is having a very busy summer. His new favorite thing is to pretend that he is driving. He always "drives" me to the ice cream store. He also loves watering daddy's garden, which is finally growing some veggies! Aydan found Jason's Ipod and now he likes to dance around while wearing "daddy's music" as he calls it. He is always excited to help with Esme, and he still loves talking to her (he talks in a very high voice!! So cute!) and now he is trying to pick her up. Aydan's imagination is awesome. He is always pretending and has all sorts of new "friends". =) A couple of weeks ago, Aydan's fish RED had to get flushed down the toliet...Aydan seemed to be very interested in the loss of RED and wanted to be the one to flush him away. Last week we got him a new fish....RED TAIL....how unique. haha. This fish is a lot more active and Aydan thinks it is hillarious. We are so blessed to have Aydan! =)

Esme's apnea update...

Esme's Apnea specialist called on Wed. with good news. He reviewed her monitor download, and She seems to be learning how to correct the breathing problem. He actually gave us clearance to travel, as long as there is a hospital within 15 miles of where we are staying. He said that Esme will probably be off of the monitor by her 4 month doctor's visit! Praise God, and thank you so much for all of your prayers! Esme is such a happy girl and we thank God for her each day!

I love seeing Aydan and Esme interact! Esme is to the point now, where she loves watching everything Aydan does. She will coo and talk back to him, and she laughs at him alot! Aydan calls her "Esme Beautiful". It is very sweet! I pray that they will continue to be close as they grow up! I feel so blessed to have two wonderful children!!!!

Aydan LOVES to swim! We spent all day yesterday at Aunt Fran's house swimming. He was jumping off the edge of the pool, and swimming from end to end in his Rhino float. He also loved the hot tub! It was so much fun watching him try new things and enjoy himself as much as he was! Esme sat on my lap and watched the water for about an hour. I didn't hear a peep out of her. She was very peaceful! Jason and I bought Aydan a sprinkler, and he was not the biggest fan! He didnt like how the water was spraying in his face! He would rather be swimming!! =)

June 2008....

Esme has been on her apnea monitor for over a month now. Her breathing seems to be doing better. The alarm goes off a lot less than when she first was put on it. What a blessing. She is 10 weeks old now, and can roll over from her tummy to her back, she smiles all the time, and is on the perfect sleep schedule. We are so blessed. Aydan is Potty trained and loves being outside in this nice warm weather! We went to the Detroit Zoo and Aydan loved seeing all the animals. We went to the zoo with our friends Katie and Aaron Gulliver and their two girls. Aydan still talks about his new friend Kylie! Yesterday was a very special day for Esme! She was Baptised! She did such a good job....I think she slept through it all! =) My Goddaughter Hannah was also baptised yesterday, So it was a great day for me!

Just a little update on Esme.....We went to the doctor's on Tuesday of this week, and it turn out that Esme has an upper respitory infection. She is taking amoxicillin and I think it is working. She is still having a hard time breathing sometimes because of the congestion, but I think it is on its way out. We also found out that she has a pretty bad case of apnea. She stops breathing quite often, even when she is awake, causing her lips to turn blue and me to panic!!!! We have a therapist coming to the house today to show me how to use the apnea monitor. Esme also had an upper GI on Wed. and thankfully that came back normal. Please pray for Esme and us as well. Thanks =)

4 weeks later...

I has been almost 4 weeks since Esme was born and things are going GREAT! She is such a blessing to our family. We brought her to church with us for the first time yesterday and she slept the whole time. Aydan got to play in the nursery and cried when it was time to leave. Aydan is such a great big brother. Esme is starting to stay awake for longer periods of time, and is tracking objects with her eyes. Her eyes are starting to turn green and she still has all of her beautiful dark hair! =) She is a great sleeper. I can lay her down awake and she falls asleep on her own (most of the time). last week we finally got the rest of our grass and next week we are getting a fence! Aydan is going to have so much fun this summer! Jason has an awesome garden growing in the backyard! I can't wait for peapods!

This past week Jason, Aydan, Esme and I have been doing a lot of adjusting!!! Things seems to be going very well. Aydan is having a little bit of a hard time dealing with the attention division....but besides that he is doing great. He loves his little sister so much and gives her millions of kisses! If she cries he tells her "It's ok baby girl" and rubs her tummy or arm. He is a great big brother. Esme is eating well, and gaining weight. She sleeps a lot during the day, and then not so much at night. It gives Esme and I a chance to get to know each other without interruption =) Jason loves the time he gets to spend with is little girl when I am putting Aydan to bed! Aydan and Daddy have been playing alot outside! We are very blessed to have this family! We have had so much fun this past week, we can only look forward to the weeks and years to come! =) God is good!

Esme Frances Johnson was born at 3:11pm on Tuesday, April 15th! She weighed 7lbs 6oz and 20 inches long. She has a full head of dark hair and makes the cutest little faces. Aydan LOVES being a big brother and always talks to her and kisses her. Esme loves to sleep during the day and stay awake during the night. hopefully this will change soon! =) Thanks again for all of the love and support and most importantly your prayers. Jason and I appreciate it so much. We are so excited to share this beautiful little miracle with the world!

I will be getting induced on Tuesday April 15th at 6:30 am. Jason and I will soon be blessed with our second miracle. We are so excited to be bringing a little girl into the family.
